What makes a person or a company unforgettable from the second you interact?

Why do some folks motivate and energize us? What is it about some folks that attracts people so powerfully?

What makes a magnetic personality? Is it possible for a company or a brand to have those qualities? Can we carry them online and off?

3 Simple Steps to Add Irresistible Influence to Your Brand

The brands and the businesses we love don’t just deliver on a promise. They make us feel good about working with them and feel good about being part of what they’re doing. If you have a favorite brand or company you might find that they have the same qualities that we find attractive in individuals we first meet.

Try these three steps to develop an irresistible influence brand image online and off.

Whether we’re a corporation, a small business, or an individual, our brand comes through in our positive bias, our intelligent problem solving and meaningful mission. People want to participate with folks who are on a great path that is bright, generous, and passionate. Even if it’s only for a short transaction, it beats out the folks who are just going through the motions. On Twitter, on our blogs, in person, it’s those characteristics that make us uniquely different.

How do you add irresistible to your brand image?

Thanks for sharing these factors for success in the marketplace. In addition to the positive attitude, I like your idea of sharing your innovative thinking with your followers, rather than just going through the motions.

Hi Liz. I like the first bullet best. Reminds me of Seth Godin: “Make Big Promises. Overdeliver.”

And as far positivity goes, this blog does it for me every time :-)

    Thanks

    Hi Steve!
It’s more fun to think with people than to talk at them … at least for me it is.
I like learning more than preaching. I’m guessing that you do too. :)

After seeing you speak this past weekend I stopped by to find out what else could be gleaned from your expertise. One thing that has thrown me is the “find your niche” mantra I heard over and over. While I’m not sure what mine is, I do know that a positive message is what I want to stay on track with – regardless of the topic.
There’s so much whining and negativity – I could certainly share that with the world too but who wants to hear that day in and day out?
Thanks so much for sharing your tips during Blissdom.

    Hi Amy!
Welcome! I’m not so sure that niche is what fits me either. A good friend says that I’ve never walked in a straight line.
Staying away from the negativity and going toward what makes you feel most like what you want to be might be enough niche for you right now. :)

    You’re not a stranger anymore!

I agree. That’s what I like about recent developments in the world like the green movement, speaking out in Iran, charity for Haiti and other natural disasters. These things make us human again and allow us to shine. Negativity and conflict are the easy way out, and more and more people are demanding better of our leaders and ourselves. Glad to finally see the sun shining every now and then.

    Hi John!
All of those things work … if they come from a real passion to serve. What we’re learning is that the folks who put on the “green” thing and don’t really mean it are losing their way, just like companies who innovate to prove how “smart” they are without trying to solve something that serves the people who buy their products. As you said, “people are demanding better leaders.”
    That’s so true.

    Thank you for saying that.

It is so hard to “sell” not having an agenda in this world where we have been socialized to a large degree into being agenda driven.

Yet if we take a close look at it ‘your’ agenda is built around ‘you’. There is one of you, be an individual or an organization and then there is everyone else. Each with their own agendas.

Taking the ‘Liz” approach means we are not agenda driven but objective driven. If we are honest about our objectives, think through them and assess them in relation to what our audiences objectives are, then we are working towards a holistic approach.

“Make us part of your meaningful mission”. Love that.
    Thanks for the lift.

“Folks who clarify our thoughts are priceless” – that really caught my eye. My most valued friends and associates are the people who hold a clear space for me to think my thoughts. Just letting me think out loud is so helpful to me. Eventually, I’ll get down to what the problem “really” is and then I can work towards a solution.

    Hi Cheryl,
I feel the same way about folks who help me understand what I’m really saying and thinking too. Solving problems is often easier than identifying them. Don’t you think?
