You might have noticed Michael’s Stelzner’s popular new book — Writing White Papers: How to Capture Readers and Keep Them Engaged around the neighborhood. It’s also in my sidebar.
I’ve read Michael’s book and talked with him about it. It’s filled with all the information you need and the fine writing you’ll find on Michael’s Blog, in his newsletter that has over 20,000 subscribers, and throughout the famous White Paper on White Papers, that established Mike Stelzner as the expert in this field.
I was delighted when Mike Stelzner agreed to take some time from his publishing and consulting business to guest write write a 5-part series called Five Reasons to Start Writing White Papers Now for us at Successful-Blog.
I’ve read all of this series too. Every post is brilliantly packed with information, energy, and great writing. You’ll know immediately exactly why Mike is considered the expert and why his book and his newsletter are so incredibly popular. The cool part is that he made this series just for us.
Look for Michael’s series this week and next week.

Thursday, October 12 — Luring Prospects With White Papers
Monday, October 16 — The Persuasive Power of White Papers
Wednesday, October 18 — Five Reasons Writers Make More $ Writing White Papers.
Thanks, Mike! I can’t wait to start sharing what you wrote.

Great catch in getting Michael in for a series - looking forward to it.
The titles to the 5-parter are great teasers.

Thanks, Martin.
We worked on the series idea together. We both thought it was a strong idea. I’m glad to hear that it hits you the same way!

You know now I will have to write this up at ePubDaily when part one is posted.
I’ve been meaning to interview Michael about his online media kit for his book, which I thought was very well done - and something every author should take into account when marketing their books or products.

Very cool.
Hey, Hartin,
Did you miss that The Blog Columnist is an SOB this week?
Martin said
Cool. That’s my second SOB appearance and being called a SOB? (well publicly at least)
Yay - the badge will be up tonight.
ME Strauss said
Wait, no, I think it’s your third SOB — epub daily, Home Office Voice, The Blog Columnist. You are SOB x 3!!!
Mike said
Now that hurts. Bad.
FIRST you trump us all by cornering the hot commodity and join him in creating a series that will be off the hook.
THEN Martin makes it to 3X !
I’m gonna have to quit the corporate blog stuff and try harder at simple things.
Nah !

Hey Hey - 3 time SOB inductee. Ahem, errr, clears his throat, taps the mic and brings out his ruffled acceptance speech - “I’d like to thank my Mom and Dad, without them I woudn’t be here (well, Dah!) and of course, God…”
This deserves a special post at The Blog Col…

A special post is grand, . . . as long as you don’t say
“You like me, you really like me.” or starting singing “Kumbaya.”
Martin said
Oh man - you stole my idea, I was gonna do both in tandem.
And that’s it for me today - it’s sunny out and I’m heading into town for some nice latte and reading. I’ll think of something real special for that post.
ME Strauss said
Take your time with that latte. “Kumbaye” wasn’t a good idea. . . .

Now wait a minute, Mr. Mike!
You have at least two SOBs to your name . . . Simplenomics and Office Freaks. I’m thinking Self-Help Daily is up for one. So you’re not due to be whining. . . .
We can’t help it if Martin keeps starting new blogs.

Just trying to weasel out a lil sympathy.
Didn’t slip it past the sympathy filters, so I’ll have to try another tact.
And quit using logic, common sense, facts and truth on me… that stuff hurts !
ME Strauss said
Sorry, I didn’t mean to be so strong with the common sense stuff. I was working on the cover of a writing ebook, Phil helped me make . . . and get me making books — Whoa!! I lose all feeling in my fingers.
Of course you have my sympathy, you are the King of the Northern Hemisphere. The man who first sat at this bar and talk about SOBs almost one year ago — in just about 2 weeks.

Glad we’re both still here.
Glad you’re creating other forms of content (ebooks), using your background and acquiring even more skills.
Glad I’m still around to see it all.
It’s good to be the King.
BTW - send me an email and tell me about the cover and how you’re making it.
ME Strauss said
Okay, I’ll do that. I’m glad we’re her too.
It’s very cool to think back to then.

Thought I would get in on this conversation. Martin - looking forward to that interview!
Liz, thanks for running these — really appreciate it!
