What Are You Waiting for?
It’s a whole new day.
Look at the sky.
We’ve never seen that exact sky before, nope, not that one. It’s brand new today.
What will you do to celebrate it?
What whole new thought will you bring to the whole new you that woke up this whole new morning? Will you take a whole new minute to savor an idea?
Will you have a whole new cup of coffee or your favorite tea, while you while away some time just looking out the window on a whole new day that’s just beginning?
Might you plan a whole new way of doing something? Take a whole new walk around a whole new block outside your building. Say a “hello” to a whole new someone you might like to meet.
Will you take a chance at finding a whole new side to someone who you’ve known for what seems like forever? Could you start a whole new habit of smiling for no good reason?
You have a whole new day to think of something.
It’s your life and the coolest part is tomorrow will be a whole new day all over again.
Holy cow! Can you believe a blue, blue sky like that? It’s a whole new way of seeing.

You touched my soul again, dear Liz. To be honest, I love the sky. Even the cloudy German sky… I honestly do. I celebrate each day, I breathe its seconds. I want to feel alive till the last day of my life.
Ignoring these simple things, the moments of fleeting joy, is wasting life and depreciating what destiny, in its generosity, has offered us. Wouldn’t that be a sin?

Hi Mihaela!
I love the sky too. I opens my eyes and makes room for my entire being. I can breathe when I can see it in every direction.
Generosity — what a great word to tie to the sky!!

Just because the sky is grey (the way it has been here in WI for a bit) does not dim your point at all.
It will be a wonderful new day!

Hi James!
Great point!
What is it they say about rain? It depends on the person how he or she sees it — it can ruin a day or slake a thirst.

C’mon Liz, there’s no need to smile for no good reason. We’re alive and the sky’s there to be enjoyed! Those good reasons are always with us.

I see on t.v. that Fox Lake is underwater (which doesn’t really take much as low to the water as the surrounding structures are…)

they used to call it the 100 years’ flood until the environmentalists up the river started looking out for the ducks.

I run around and I don’t get wet!!

When I was living in Cary, it seemed they had a 100 year flood about every three years or so!
You must be fast or really limber!

Wow, that is a beautiful picture! Did you take that picture yourself or find it on a photo sharing site?

I am not believing it!
I think you have magic powers that you’re not divulging.
Which is really cool!
