Hey Liz,

I gave up on the Blog Herald and even wrote a post about it not long ago.

NOW, I am going to have to rethink my thinking since you joined the crew.
I may even have to write a retraction.

Hi Joe,
If you’ve not been reading there, then you probably don’t know that it was sold. There’s a whole new crew. I’m just one of them/us.

Liz,
The sale is Why I stopped reading, hence the post.
Now that I know you will write there, I may resubscribe to it.

Haha .. I just have to laugh at people who actually admit they unsubscribed without giving it a chance! (even to Joe!)
I still read and am subscribed .. but, it’s different now. Even your article, Liz, and most of the others – are not news. They are more .. Hmmm … like the B, or C or even D section of a Sunday paper .. like, the Automotive Showcase, or the Travel Section, or the Lifestyles or Career section.
Good reading .. sure! But, not at the top of my daily reading list anymore. Even the interpretation of “news” are linking over to other stories, which actually was news when news broke. Not too mention, .. that while I tell people that I’m illiterate, (so I don’t have to read books, magazines or newspapers) the truth of the matter is that my attention span is just as small as a gnat! The articles are waaaaaaaay too long recently! I need a weekend to read them, or late in the evening before sleeping (to make me sleepier) rather than top of the morning news or stories in the blogosphere.
As a side note, I hope they figure out why every 5 hours the entire database of articles refreshes in my Bloglines.
BTW … happy new years! Soon.

PS .. speaking of Bloglines .. whatever happened to Bloggy #35? I saw it. It came. It went. It was gone.

Everything you say is true, HART. It’s much more of a magazine now. I think they are going for more niche writers, but I can’t say for sure. What the guiding light is.
I don’t know that the story is on your geting the database twice, but the irony is I just got your comment a second time while I was writing this. Maybe it’s the ghost in the machine!

I’m not worried, and I’m sure they will find a groove and keep with what works .. especially with Tony there
People still read magazines!

Yeah, HART, that’s true! The other part is that I’m sure he’s not through getting the list of bloggers together he wants to write. So you can never tell what the final form will be.
