Bloggy Question 62: How’s the View?

Ever Look Out the Window?
It’s a Thursday night. What fabulous story would you tell if we had a glass of wine, some chocolate, and this view out our window?

While I like to think that if I had that view, I would appreciate it, the truth is, I would probably take it for granted, as I do so many things in my life now.
But I would tell you about my fabulous vineyard in Italy (it’s just out that window) and pour you a glass of my latest creation!

Hi Susan!
I’d live all year for two weeks with that view. Oh my, I do love looking out there. If you poured me that glass of wine, I’d be your friend forever.

I would probably talk about the time I traveled to Europe. but that view reminds me specifically of a place I stayed in the Swiss Alps. We had these amazing beds that just enveloped us with down comforters. And we had a window that provided an incredible view of the Alps.
It was April, but it had snowed. And we hiked up the mountain a bit to explore the next village.

Oh Nathania!
That sounds wonderful! Imagine being in Italy and talking about that trip to the Swiss Alps while we’re there!
Heaven!

Hi Liz,
First of all, I’d ask you how the Pope is these days, since this looks like it could be Castel Gandolfo. Then again, it might be Northern California.
Presuming we’re in Italy, I would wonder what our predecessors thought on a similar evening. From the prehistoric Etruscans, through the Roman senators, Dark Ages monks, Renaissance artists to our neighbor the Pope, we probably all shared an appreciation of the beauty of this place, and the magic of this moment. Isn’t it amazing how timeless magic moments really are?

Can I add some creamy pesto gnocci to the menu? With a strawberry gelato for dessert
ME Strauss said
Hi Mike!
We sure are in Italy . . . mouse over the pix.
What a lovely story you’re starting to spin. I know about Gandolfo. I think we need more wine.

Hi Nathania!
Your menu is lovely and I’d love to add some of the vegetables that they cook there and pizza with fresh tomato. Oh to die for.

Liz,
I can’t tell you how glad I am that I somehow missed this post until this morning. What a great view for a monday - especially considering my office is in the basement with no window. Why do they always put the techies in the dungeon?!
If we were sipping wine and keeping watch on that landscape I would be painting it while I told you about my wonderful adventures in London (because London is about two spots before Italy on my list of places to visit.).

Hi Sara!
I would so enjoy that conversation. I’d tell you about my London adventures too.
Then we’d talk about breaking out of the dungeon!
Sara said
Liz,
Breaking out of the dungeon is certainly on the schedule. By the time we sit down in Italy I’ll be able to tell you all about it. =)

That’s a fantastic view. I need some bear with that view :d
ME Strauss said
Hi Dansko,
You can have the bear as long as we both stay up on the balcony and the bear stays in the distance. No loud noices that would make me spill my wine either. [big grin]

On Thursday night, I would tell you about how I began my store, my blogging and how my life has changed. I could also talk about Johnston too.

Hi Elizabeth!
Congratulations! You must be so excited!
