Bloggy Question 68: 2 Palm Trees, You, Me
ME Liz Strauss wrote this at 7:51 pm
Reflection Is Good
Two palm trees, a great bottle of wine,
maybe some bread and cheese, me, and you . . .
What would we talk about?
Would it be music, books, blogging . . .
C’mon, you know we’d talk for days.

Liz, on one of your other blogs you talk about philosophy. I think it would be fun to discuss that!

If there’s no green apples, I’m out (sorry, inside joke for Liz)!
Books would be a great start.
Coffee would be another.
People that we’ve met and have yet to meet.
Places we want to go.
And most of all, a good dream or 5.
So when are you coming back to Milwaukee Liz? Wait, it’s my turn to come visit you. December perhaps. I’ll let you know.

Hi Robyn!
Not only could we talk philosophy, but I bet we could make our own up!

Hey Phil!
Green apples for you for sure!
Don’t forget music!!! You and I have such similar tastes in music it would be such fun to talk about the bands that we love!
I can’t wait to see you again!

We’d talk about Dr. Seuss-
“You’ll get mixed up, of course,
as you already know.
You’ll get mixed up
with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step.
Step with care and great tact
and remember that Life’s
a Great Balancing Act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft.
And never mix up your right foot with your left.”

PS - from one strange bird to another!

I think we’d start by talking about the view, about the magic that surrounds us, about the wonder of God’s creations, about how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful world.
Then we’ll go on talking about legends, about the Little Mermaid, about treasures waiting to be discovered in the abyss.
Then we’d move forward to people, to their souls and hearts, to those little things that make life beautiful.
Yes, we’ll be talking about books, eventually. :)But first we’d look at our achievements and our dreams…

Hi Ann!
Yes that is exactly what we would talk about, isn’t it? [big cheshire cat grin]

Hi Mihaela,
I hope that Ann is there when you are . . . we’d all have fun talking about wonders and legends . . . yeah.
And the book talk would last for a very long time, I’m sure of that.

I think we would talk about how we could change the world for the better. We would also talk about how we can help people discover their interconnectedness, how we can help discover peace ourselves and help others find their own peace, how we can help ourselves and others to accept themselves for who they are.
The conversation would be lengthy but I hope not too lengthy because we would then need to find a boat/plane/train/truck and leave the tranquility of the palm trees to spring to action and get to making it happen…a tasty glass of wine in hand of course.

Ah, yea, Aruni!
We would definitely have wine while we talked about people and how to change the world. That would be an unforgettable conversation for sure.
