I’m not exactly sure what I’d do there but it sure looks relaxing even from here.
If it’s like any of the vacations I’ve taken, I wouldn’t want to leave!

Baking in the sun! Definitely! (Am wearing two sweaters at the moment but that doesn’t really help my cold feet - longing for the Spring)
And I would be pondering on various ideas, jotting thoughts down on a notepad.
When to leave? (When I’m warm)
When the ponderings, thoughts and notes make me jittery and impatient to put them into practical action.

Actually, Liz, I have already made plans for a 3 weeks vacation in a similar place. It won’t happen before the end of August, but I plan to spend amazing days on Turkey’s beach from Oludeniz
I had to plan this soon because by February most hotels are already booked.

Hi RB!
Yes, it sure does look relaxing. I’d stay at least until the hotel up the beach got too expensive!
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Karin!
I can just imagine what wise and synchronous thoughts you’d be bringing back with you!
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Alina!
A beach in Turkey! How romantic that sounds. I’ve a whole story in my head about who’ll you’ll meet.
Karin H. said
Yep Liz, that’s me. Even ‘working’ on holidays
(Not exactly true, pondering and thinking isn’t always working, but relaxing)

Well, actually, I plan to spend most of the time with my boyfriend. But I’m pretty sure we’ll meet a lot of other couples like us and get to organize trips to nearby wonders
I know for a fact the food will be great

Hi Karin!
I can’t imagine you not working/thinking. You’re such a dynamic woman.

Liz,
I’d spend a couple hours relaxing in the sun, then I’d go into that cave and pull out enough pirate’s gold to live comfortably. Then a quick trip to the bank and then a short swim. I’d leave when I’m hungry.

Good morning, Liz!
See that cave? I wanna know what’s inside. See that slope on the far left of the rock face? I wanna climb it.
And of course, there is water to play in. But that comes after the climbing and exploring - a good way to cool off.
I’d stay as long as I could without neglecting anything, especially if that were a very isolated area without crowds. I love hidden nature spots like that, untouched by big business and tourism. =)
Thanks for the pleasant imagery!

Hi Alina!
That’s so fabulous! It sounds even more wonderful already!

It’s gorgeous and I can hear the waves crashing and feel the warmth of the sun - truth is unless I had a big fat umbrella to ward off those evil sunrays and 3 or 4 novels not sure how long I’d last - however those few additions, and maybe some smoothies and well the cabana boy might be a great addition too
I think I could survive it
good morning !!!

Hey Mike,
I love that cave and that Pirate’s Bank . . . they’re such a great modern convenience. The pirates of the 17th century would be so jealous if they knew.
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Kusani,
Isn’t it amazing the difference in feeling we get when we’re looking where there’s nothing that people have built?
Liz Williams said
It’s the cave for me - it’s calling to me even in the picture. I’d leave when I felt “full’ - like I’d taken in enough, or when high tide made it impossible to get out with the treasure, whichever came first. If Mike left any pirate’s gold for me, that is.
I’d come back after lunch though, to climb the cliff and stroll on the beach, savoring the whole scene and letting the waves comb out my thoughts.

I’d be walking down the beach, cautiously, with spear in hand. . .it would be time to back-peddle when the giant crab monster rears its twin pinchers from that dark and foreboding cave!
Mike DeWitt said
That crab monster was nothing a couple of Scooby Snacks couldn’t handle, but he does keep most people out of the treasure room (which has plenty left in it, by the way)…

Zoinks! I’m fresh out of Scooby Snacks!

What might I be doing here?
Enjoying every minute of it!
And how will I know when to leave?
I’ll have no choice in the matter–I’ll wake up.

Hi Liz!
It’s wonderful how you know yourself so well that even a picture can tell you where you would be. I bet pictures help you as much as they do me when I need to relax.
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Mother Earth!
Are you suggesting that there’s a beach that comes sans a cabana boy? What!! We’ll have to change that situation.
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Erik!
I immediately thought, “Hmmm, who will play Erik in the movie?”
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Kirk!
You’re so inventive when you’re awake that you write comments like that. I bet you’re great at daydreaming too.
J. Erik Potter said
I’ve always been a Steve Reeves fan. . .for some reason that beach and cave just reminds me of a Harryhausen special effects scene. . .
Kirk M said
Hi Liz,
You got it! If it wasn’t for my imagination I’d never have a vacation at all. My wife is expecting me to return to my body any day now.
Mother Earth said
truth be told my beach days are few
and my cabana boy experiences nill
i have lots to experience in life still
( giggle )
ME Liz Strauss said
Sure Erik and Mike!
Get me all into Scooby Doo and then change the movie!!!

Well - I would explore that cave and then lay in the sun. Thenn I would swim around that point to see what iis on the other side - and then I would lay in the sun…
Mexico - here I come - 4 weeks and counting!
ME Liz Strauss said
Hi Brooke!
The cave, the sun, the water . . . I hear a metaphor in there somewhere.
Mexico. Oh yeah. You are a lucky one!

I will assume it lacks any other people… so i would work on my tan lines (they have to go!).
But if there was more people, i would love them to be amicable. I would hate to be by myself with strangers, no matter how amicable they are, so i would think about bringing along some more of my acquaintances (good God, i spelled that correctly? phew!).
I would leave when… the tan lines are no more, or when monetary resources are at 25% (to have some for the trip home).
Give me the chance though to dream about living there and working from there (and then i can call it a mental vacation).
