Don’t Seek Success!

Thoughts on a Successful-Blog Birthday

Liz;

Happy 2! Hard to believe that your blog is so young!

My thoughts:

birthday balloonDon’t seek success
It should not be a goal in life
It is hard to achieve
You never really think you’re there

Rather, you should aim for achievable goals
Set your sights high
But celebrate when you reach mile markers along the way

Let others label you “successful”
But always aim to improve
Never accept “good enough”
Give back to those who helped
And lastly, be thankful

Happy second again Liz!

I think it is okay to seek success, actually. Just so long as you define it appropriately.

The measurable goals are important too. But “a man’s reach should exceed his grasp, or else what’s a heaven for?”

    Hi Mark!
I think the semantics here are the issue. Well, actually maybe it’s the ego . . . if you seek success to do well for the good of others, as I know you would . . . that’s one thing. If you seek success for the approval and the applause . . . that’s another. :)
