In its commitment to continually improve its service, Technorati has recently brought me on board as a full time Customer Support Specialist. We are dedicated to addressing the current support issues in a timely manner, reducing the present support backlog, and improving online Troubleshooting and Help documentation to aid users utilize Technorati to its fullest.

The first thing that Ms. Myint is working on will be helping folks who are having trouble claiming a blog, because they are getting the notice “Checking for Technorati Goodness.”

Good luck, Janice Myint in Customer Service at Technorati. You’ve got your work cut out for you. I guess you could think of it as job security. Sure would be nice of all of the Technorati messy stuff went away.

I’m dying to say something about sending in a woman to do the job . . . , but I’m the nice one, so I won’t. :)

Goody! I just thought Technorati simply couldn’t find any “Goodness” in my blog that I have been trying to claim for 2 weeks now!

At least now I know it’s not just me and that Technorati are actually “committed” to fixing things.

    Hey, Martin,
Did you use that word “Goody” with a sense of irony?

And are you thinking of an ironic meaning of the word committed?

    You have me wondering . . . :)

Hey Liz … the “goody” one, Yup - I’m as ironic as they come :-)

With “committed” - I guess I was going the ironic route without even knowing it??? So, um, err.. yes.

But then again, with all the support requests they’ll be getting now maybe there’ll be some staff really “committed” at Technorati - I wonder if they even have real suppport staff … or maybe Mr Sifry responds to each and every email (hence why the 18 week delays in support response).

Now you don’t have to wonder - I’m ironic without even knowing it (not sure if it’s a good or bad thing) ;-)

I emailed her my post from last Sunday. I figured that kind of laid it all out well enough. :)

Good on you for being one committed blogger and going straight to the source rather than going for the easy lynch.

Well … there’s been a lot of blog lynch mobs doing the rounds lately, so … even though you had a bit of a rant, you were good enough to email it to them - so maybe your post was the cataylyst for their support offer.

Thank you, Martin. I would love to think my post was the catalyst for something. But it sure seems like a lot of people posted on the same thing on Sunday. Maybe it was the moon or something.

As far as the lynch mobs go . . . it sure IS a good thing that the Internet hasn’t got trees.

I think I’d better pack it in. I’ll see you when it’s Wednesday for me too.
