My Presentation at WordCamp Today
Presentation Is Not Conversation
Seven sentences from blog to community.
- Show up
- Be in with both feet
- Be a friend first
- Blog your experience
- Don’t tie things up in a bow
- Be trustworthy
- Start small … think BIG
with lots of stories and links in between.
Here are the slides with the hyperlinks. It’s one of the features I love about yudu.

Great job Liz…my learning detail was to put the “you” in there when saying thanks…
I loved how you spoke out of your recent blog post about your one best friend and the back yard performances. Great to hear you tell the story.

Great job, and I love looking at all the links. Plus, I’ve never really understood how I could use yudu, but now I have a better idea.
Oh, and the link to your post, “10 Reasons Readers don’t leave Comments” isn’t working in the presentation.

Thanks so much for sharing the presentation with us! Those old posts you linked to have so many simple reminders I needed to hear. Distilling your point to one sentence before writing — what an effective way to center your mind.

I like #7. “Start small…think BIG!” There’s a lot of truth in this one, little statement.
Chris Brogan said once, “you can’t take large social media jumps.” In other words, you have to start small and build from there. At the same time, you have to think BIG! Then, you gotta think bigger! With enough hard work, you’ll get there
