Open Mic 7pm Chgo Time: Let’s Talk About Weird Dreams …

Join Us Tonight

… and Nightmares

Weird ones, scary ones, ones that could be made into a movie. Ever had a recurring dream that came back over and over, or dreamed about the first person you loved years ago? We might talk about sleeping dreams that we remember, and whatever else comes up, even flamenco dancing.

Oh, and bring links to share — about weird dreams and nightmares.

The rules are simple — be nice.

Do be nice. :)

I’ll be sleeping by then, so I’ll write mine here. :)

The only nightmare I’ve ever had was many years ago as a kid. I can still vividly remember (most of) it to this day.

Walking down a steep slope on a cold, wet, dark winter night. To the left was a high wall with a forest above. To the right, a smaller wall that, once on tip toes, could be looked over.

Over the wall, below us, was a children’s park with swings.

I remember walking down the slope and sitting on the swings. We would swing. Then something bad would happen.

I don’t remember what the “bad” thing was. I just know it *was* bad. Probably had something to do with a group of thugs as opposed to any sort of green monster, but I really don’t recall (I probably woke up in a cold sweat before it got the point where I was beaten to a pulp… or eaten alive).

Ugh. Scary. I’m blaming you if I go to bed and dream about that tonight. :-)

    Hi Jamie!
Sounds like a short story. Here’s hoping you’ve put that one well behind you! ;)
