    Hi Shirley,
You bring the discussion to the blogosphere. You bring bloggers together. You belong in this bunch just as much as the rest of us.

Liz. Wow, I’m stunned. Honored and thrilled. I’ve already added a badge (linking to this page) to Eat4Today. Thank you so much!

Your site is one of the best for beginners like me. I haven’t even made a dent in reading what you’ve got to offer. But I come here whenever I have a chance and always learn something valuable (this week — how to allow open comments, but still restrict spam)

    (Thanks again!)

    Katie,
Your questions and your insights have added a lot to this blog. I’m sure that folks have learned from what you’ve asked as well as from what you’ve added. That makes all of us stronger. Sounds like the definition of a Successful and Outstanding Blogger.
    Congratulations!

[...] Don’t frown, it is not the offensive abbreviation, it means Successful and Outstanding Blogs. Thanks Liz, for adding my blog to the SOB list and from now on I will be displaying the SOB badge on this blog. [...]

[...] This week I have been deemed a SOB by Liz Strauss at Successful-Blog.com. She points out some of the outstanding bloggers that make a contribution, and apparently I was part of a conversation or made some contribution to the world of blogging.  I’ll wear this badge with honor…I think. Liz, don’t worry that I haven’t posted a badge yet. I will. I want it and I will wear it proudly–maybe post a little statement about what it means :) . It happened that I was so honored by you at a time when I am extremely busy outside the blogging world. On Thursday, Jerry and I were the recipients of the most fabulous reception, given by our children, in honor of our 50th wedding anniversary. It was incredible.

Two days before that, I received word from my graphic artist that a book I have been working on was ready for line editing (I’m self-publishing). I would have put it off that job, but I cannot, because of other deadlines.

Two days from now, as a culmination of our 50th anniversary celebration, Jerry and I, three of our children, their spouses and other friends are flying to Seattle, boarding a ship, and doing an Alaskan cruise.

Bottom line: I want that badge! Don’t give it away to anyone else :( , but I can’t take it just yet.

    Blessings,

    Shirley Buxton

    Shirely,
What a sweet and wonderful thing it is that you would take the time to come all of the way over here, just to tell me that! That is class, ma’am. Yes, it is.

I read your posts about your life and love achievement with your jerrry at your blog. I can only imagine how overwhelming that must have been.

And a book on top of all of that!!!

Then an Alaskan cruise with the family too!!!

You definitely have a life, Shirely Buxton. I’m so glad for that very first time that I ever eavesdropped on you, :)

[...] Ok, this doesn’t mean what you think it means.  I’ve been awarded the Successful and Outstanding Blog award over at Successful Blog.  I have done what I can to contribute to the blogging world and I feel I’ve only scratched the surface.  This award is certainly a honor and I encourage you to visit the site as well.  It includes so many tips and tricks for bloggers that even if you have been on the blogging scene for years, I would bet you’d find something of use, if not a few good sites to explore.
