    I got it! Thank you. How interesting that you don’t use Indie as a short form of independent artist. For all of my travels, that’s new to me. :)

    Hi Liz

    Independent is in the UK more abbreviated to Indep. because of the former colonial link to India, hence the Indie = India origin.

    (But I’m neither, nor UK, nor from India, so that makes me an Indep.)
