Universal Thoughts

ME Liz Strauss wrote this at 6:22 am

I've been thinking . . .

about the power of thoughts.

They say that what I think is the deciding factor in what the universe serves up to me. I can see the sense of that.

As I think, I see.

When I choose to focus on the brighter, smarter ideas and people, I seem to find them more.

When I’m sure of my direction, folks follow me. When I’m feeling insecure, folks challenge my ideas. It’s hardly quantum physics to calculate that why should be.

As I think, I feel.

When I’m certain that what I’ll be doing is going to turn out right, it always seems to . . . maybe that’s because I make it so. When I know I’m on the right track, it’s as if I touch a cloud to make the right things rain down

As I think, I am.

This weekend the universe is supporting every good dream.

I’m going to think it so.

What about you?

Very nice, Liz! And let’s not forget:

    As I think, I do.

    Hi Robert!
I know. Our thoughts are powerful. We really ought to check in often to know what thoughts we’re thinking out of habit to make sure that we want them in our lives.

Do good = feel good = see good = meet good = etc.

Openness, that’s what I call it - sure there must be a more scientifically name for it ;-). Buy a new car and everyone seems to ride in that particular brand/type too - all of a sudden!
Or is it the attraction, recognition of what we do, feel, think for/on that moment that makes us see more ‘of a kind’?

    Hi Karin!
Some folks call it attraction. Some folks call it serendipity. Some call it sensitivity to what was already there.

I suppose it doesn’t matter what words we use as long as we know. Though, I do like the idea of “openness” that you put with it.

If I make room for good things, then good things have a place in my life. :)
I know that’s circular logic. But circular logic is sometimes right. :)

Liz - Brilliant post and this is so true. I believe our minds are the most powerful tools we can use.

    Hi Liz,

That’s why the terms “virtuous cycle” and “doom loop” were invented! Thanks for this.

    Cheers,

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of either one of those terms. They’re mighty intriguing, though!

    Hi Liz,

Looks like it’s going to be a great weekend!

I’ve been calling this process “The Compound Interest of Your Life” - how the thoughts you have and the choices you make, in Law of Attraction fashion, do grow and grow. Those little seed thoughts (”I’m having a great day”, for example) create our filter, reinforce each other, and eventually add up to the sum total of our experience. I guess I’m a mathematician at heart…or a banker?

    I write about it here:

Thanks for the little reminder today.

    Hi Catherine,
I’m right with you on the power of our minds. If only we could remember to use them more often. :)

I know I get too busy to stop and really use mine. :)

    A mathematician, a banker, or a farmer? :)

Actually I think we’re all creators of magic when we do these things — we’re incredibly attractive wonderous individuals who show that people really are made of the same stuff as stars.

    Liz,

I’m surprised you hadn’t heard either. They are very powerful alliteration of our self-made realities.

    Yes, a farmer. Absolutely!

“people really are made of the same stuff as stars.” - and have the same kind of influence in their world as well. It is rather magical. But it makes sense, as well - so you don’t have to suspend disbelief in order to get with the program.

Still, I’ve experienced some miracles that defy logic. Like every day watching my 8-month-old son experience and learn about his world…creating me in the process.

    Hi Mike!
Isn’t fun how certain phrases are deeply entrenched in some lives and haven’t toughed others. Thanks for sharing these. I’ll be thinking about them for a long while. :)

Kids are the most magical creators on the planet. If we could only hold on to some of what they’ve got . . . :)

Ah, the power of the combination of an open mind, knowing who you are and what you see. When I was a kid I did all three so naturally (like we all probably did) that I never noticed. It’s only as I got older where experience started me thinking, that I saw the difference. Funny how I had to learn all over again what came so naturally as a child. Thank the skies that I still remember how to play.

    Hi Liz! :)
