Read the entire article. It’s an awesome description of a blogger’s growth.
Well? Will you be there?

I will. I’m coming. It’ll be my first blogging conference and I’m excited to meet a bunch of the bloggers I’ve met online.
Liz, you and I have talked about the SOBCon07 being a different kind of conference. I think you said something like you want to take commenting on blogs to the conference setting. I don’t know what that’s going to look like - but it sure sounds interesting.
And I’m excited about going to a conference where I’ll be a participant instead of an attendee.

Hi Dawud,
Sorry it took so long to answer. You know how when you publish a blog post and it just starts the conversation? That’s how it’s going to be when I finish my presentation that’s when the real conversation will start.

Hi Jeff!
I can’t wait to see you with us! The ball park is right down the street from me!

I can’t wait to be there. I’ve always wanted to visit Chicago so this is my chance and a great time of year to go. Not only will I see a great city but I’ll get the chance to meet some great bloggers. I’ll finally feel like I am stepping out of my isolation and becoming part of a community. See you all there!

Yea! I can’t wait to see you there! It will be perfect to have a brainy gal to get us going. That is just what the doctor ordered!

No worries, Liz. I’m really looking forward to coming. Not only to hear the speakers, but to meet a bunch of people who love to blog. Can’t wait, this is a great idea.

Hi Dawud!
I’m looking forward to seeing you there. You will add so much dimension to the conversation that is part of each presentation.

Thanks, Liz. I do have some holes in my blog understanding that I hope to get filled in over the weekend. And if not filled in, then at least made more shallow.

Dawud,
Blogging is like any other tool. It only allows what you already know. So nothing can prepare you for it, except your whole life and I have this feeling that you bring plenty to the table.
Dawud Miracle said
Ah, shucks, I bet you say that to all the guys.
Thanks. I know you’re right. While I’m having success with my blog, I think I feel like there’s something I’m not getting. Perhaps it’s real clarity about why I’m blogging. Boy, that’s something to look at, huh?
ME Strauss said
Hi Dawud,
I know I didn’t have “real clarity” until I was challenged to write my blogging goal. Being forced, so to speak, to articulate it made me think it through.
Dawud Miracle said
I guess it’s time to write my blogging goal. As always, thanks. I think I’ve been avoiding this - which is something interesting to look at on its own.
ME Strauss said
Hi Dawud,
You could write a goal to write a goal.
Dawud Miracle said
Good idea. perhaps that will help me consider my blogging goals.
ME Strauss said
Hi Dawud,
I’ve been thinking about your goals post all day. with just that thought in mind.

You know, I have a business to run/market. Yet my real passion lies in the things you see in my latest post. I love my work and I’m passionate about it. But not in the same way as I am about personal growth, spirituality, human development and topics like that.
I think my fear, being honest, is that if I focus too much on those topics, they’ll be no room for my business. Hence, I won’t be able to use my blog to promote it.
And, I can also see a path - less certain - where I blog about these topics, tie them into web-based business development and growth from time to time and have my business thrive because of it. I’m just not certain about how that would look.
The bottom line is I absolutely love talking/writing/sharing about spirituality and personal growth, I’m just uncertain how it fits into my business of being a web business developer.
And, I don’t have the bandwidth right now to do two blogs.
