Successful and Outstanding Bloggers
Sebastian Prooth, owner of Seb’s Random Thoughts and Podcast Periodical, is a student of media, and an avid blogger, writer, and technology enthusiast. He’s also a computer/tech geek with his 12+ years using MS Windows and the OS X system he uses daily next to his PC. Sebastian talks about technology, news, and just about anything that’s going on. This isn’t CNN or Technorati mirror; it’s more of a mirror of the author sharing with readers — from the head and from the heart.
Simplenomics, written by Mike Sigers, is trying to give the world a look at how to use common sense to get more out of your sales, marketing, advertising and management efforts. Mike’s not for sale at any price, so don’t ask for consultation time. Well, you can ask, but send money first. . . . . .Sub-categories: Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Management, Entertainment.
There are plenty of places on the web to get detailed, highly-technical information on how to use a computer and software. What’s really hard to find is simple information for users who are not experts. David Canfield’s blog, Symplebyte.com, is designed for them. His goal is to provide easy-to-use information about computers in a format that is easy to understand.
TechzOnline started out as just a personal space to put down a few thoughts and a central place to let people know more about me. It slowly became a very comfortable medium via the exellent CMS, WP, to put down my thoughts and interact with a wide spectrum of people, in terms of culture & thoughts. I’m a technology fan, and as such my Friday Link Day usually has a good bunch of tech links, not to mention I keep categories devoted solely to tech. I keep my blog ad-free so users need not worry about pop-ups and ugly boxes with ads in them.
Pedro Timoteo has worked as a Unix/Linux systems administrator for most of his adult life. With varied interests such as video games, heavy metal music, reading, writing, fantasy, science fiction, and philosophy, and, of course, computers and technology, he has shown that he can write just about anything. Currently working for Portugal’s largest private airline, he dreams of when his interest in technology will be just one more hobby… and he can live from all of them.
Thomas R. Clifford is a award-winning documentary filmmaker. His Director Tom blog focuses on igniting conversations by helping people tell their story authentically and dynamically. His passion for the past 23 years has been filmming remarkable stories from remarkable organizations. Tom uses that passion that has produced films for a variety of organizations — including The NFL Hall of Fame, Deloitte, and more — to give readers a look into the “what and how” of corporate filmmaking.
Trevor Hampel is a retired elementary school teacher who lives in South Australia. He has always written stories and poems to use in his classroom and many have been published in Australian magazines. In the 1990s he had six books published, two curriculum guides for teachers with four accompanying student work books. He is now concentrating on writing this blog about writing and blogging which he hopes will help and inspire other writers.
Trevor’s Birding is a blog about the wild birds that live in his garden and in the district where he lives in South Australia. Watching birds in the wild has been his hobby now for over thirty years and he passionately shares this interest with his readers. More recently this passion has developed into a desire to photograph the birds he observes and to share the beauty of these birds by posting the photos on his blog.
Trevor’s Travels is a travel blog written by author Trevor Hampel. He has travelled extensively throughout Australia and more recently Thailand and Nepal (including a trek towards Mt Everest) and he writes about his adventures in his blog. These adventures are well illustrated by some beautiful photos of places he has visited over the years.
Working at Home on the Internet offers something new every day — advice, links, articles, general information and tips — for anyone who uses a home computer to make a living on the Internet. SOB Joe Hauckes readers include self-employed small business owners, telecommuters, and folks who work part time and work at home.
The Zehnkatzen Times is the record of the perambulations of Samuel John Klein, a designer and self-styled pundit based in Portland, Oregon. From this podium he finds and comments on interesting things in graphic design, logo design, web design, map design, life and times in Portland, and the occasional ironic or funny random observation and, every now and again, a somewhat-trenchant political observation. Feel free to stop by and celebrate the process.
If You’re An SOB, Let Me Introduce You.
In the SOB Hall of Fame, you’ll see some blogs have a blog description. Do you know about this opportunity? Send me a brief two or three sentence description of your blog. Using your description, I can write an official introduction post for you blog. I’ll feature that post on the front page before I add the description to the SOB Hall of Fame. E-mail Liz at lizsun2@gmail.com That’s all there is to it!
If You Are Not, But Would Like to Be an SOB?
Now, now, you know that means a Successful and Outstanding Blogger!
Here’s how to make this list:
Add an outstanding idea, insight, or spark to the conversation going on this blog,
or start a great conversation on your own blog and tell me about it. You might take a post home with you to the share Successful-Blog ideas and dialogue with your readers. If you do, find a unique way to “add value” to the conversation. Then tell me about it. E-mail Liz at lizsun2@gmail.com with a link to your post or a brief description of what you did.
That’s all there is to it.
