Once again - brilliant chioces, Liz!

I just stumbled upon Carpe Factum this week and have really enjoyed it. Brain Based Business has been one of my favorites for a while (Ellen is a great blogger and so helpful!). I can’t wait to check out the rest of them!

Wow — This is a humbling moment — to join the ranks of so many thoughtful people at this site! Thanks for the generosity you have shown in bringing people, ideas, strategies, and new possiblies together Liz! I have learned a great deal from you, Ann, Easton and others at this site and this is what the blogging community looks like at its best! Thanks for your gracious offer to make another part of the community official. The group is stronger than any one of us — you have shown us that again and again!

    Hi Liz,
This time I held off checking in until I visited each of the blogs on your list twice. The first time for a visual glance, the second to actually read a post or two.

So, I can tell you that I actually enjoyed everyone of the blogs on your list. They passed the look/read tests with flying colors!

It was especially fun to read the story of your (was it a road trip?) day with Phil from 2 different perspectives! I’m not sure that’s ever happened before.

    Hi Katie!
What fun to see everyone getting in on the SOB community page. It’s such a cool way to welcome new folks around here. :)

You liked Phil’s take on our story . . . ????? The pictures are what put it over the top for me. I wrote to tell him that between his great writing and the pix, I felt as If I’d been there. :)

  15. September 16th, 2006 at 10:02 pm
    katiebird said

Oh, gosh, yes! I liked Phil’s take on the story, it had everything, tension (anything more tense than a traffic jam?) drama (elevators going no where) humor (one link stand issues) and a happy ending (a new business partnership.)

The only thing missing was ME! I wish I was there :(

Just kidding about that last part — really, it was totally fun reading about it.

    ME Strauss said

YEAH, Katie, I’ve been meaning to ask . . . Where were you? Did you get in the wrong elevator too?

Phil can make any story a compelling adventure.

For some reason I’m remembering a job interview on the 40 something floor of the TransAmerica building in San Francisco when I realized that I could never work on the 40 somthing floor of any building — especially in San Francisco.

I was really wishing that day that I’d gotten in the wrong elevator.

And part of your adventures were many stories higher than that, weren’t they more like 50 something? (shudder) Much better you than me.

Maybe next time I’m in Chicago (which would be the first time) I can meet you for lunch after?

Liz, wow. I didn’t have time to look into all of them but Plagiarism Today sure caught my eye. Very nice.

I’ll be sure to look into the rest on monday

(as you know, I’m supposed to be staying off the computer this weekend … but my two new programs just arrived so I’m cheating …)

    Thank-you for all you do.

    Hi Katie,
I’ve worked that high here and I suppose most of us just get used to to. . . . but I sure can understand why some of us don’t.

Of course we’ll meet for a meal when you visit. . . It would seem so silly that you’d be in town and we’d miss a great opportunity like that, especially now that YOUR A BLOND!!! :)

    Cat,
I think Plagarism Today might be a resource for all of your blogs in some way. Each post is helpful information on how to handle a question that we didn’t want in the first place — so we hardly know how to ask it, let alone who to ask. . . . :P
