Thanks to Week 47 SOBs
ME Liz Strauss wrote this at 12:05 pm
Let me introduce the bloggers
who have earned this official badge of achievement,
Successful Blog SOBs.
I invite them to take a badge home to display on their blogs.
They take the conversation to their readers,
contribute great ideas, challenge us, make us better, and make our businesses stronger.
I thank all of our SOBs for thinking what we say is worth passing on.
Good conversation shared can only improve the blogging community.
Should anyone question this badge’s validity, send him or her directly to me. This award comes with a full “Liz said so” guarantee. It is endorsed by Kings of the Hemispheres, Martin and Michael, and backed by my brothers, Angelo and Pasquale.
Want to become an SOB?
If you’re an SO-Wanna-B, you can see the whole list of SOBs and learn how to be one by visiting the SOB Hall of Fame. Click the link or visit the What IS an SOB?! page in the sidebar.

This weeks treasure trove. I can hardly wait! I found Plagiarism Today an absolute fantastic read! That site answers so many questions that people should be asking. Now off to check out the rest and prep my next interview.
Congrats to all the new SOBs :)

Wow, Liz, I’m honored. First a phone call and now I’m an SOB. Thank you very much for the award recognition. And thank you even more for the introduction to your blog.

Holy cow! I had hoped to one earn one of those coveted little badges, and I’m humbled to have it happen so soon. You contribute a great deal to bloggers, Liz. So your recognition is truly an honor.
Thank You!

Timothy,
Great blogs and great bloggers deserve notice. Welcome to the family. . . !
ME Strauss said
Christina,
A successful and outstanding blogger is one who is always there to help out folks who are in a pinch and sinking. You’ve always gone beyond the call of duty . . . I’m grateful to know a blogger like you are.
ME Strauss said
Tony,
Keep contributing your best insights and ideas. They make us all better. We notice. :)

Once again - brilliant chioces, Liz!
I just stumbled upon Carpe Factum this week and have really enjoyed it. Brain Based Business has been one of my favorites for a while (Ellen is a great blogger and so helpful!). I can’t wait to check out the rest of them!
(LOVE the design on Success From the Nest!)
Thanks for always finding great sites for us to check out!

Thanks, Ann, for noticing. Each one offers something unique, balanced, and surprising . . . I mean that :)

Wow — This is a humbling moment — to join the ranks of so many thoughtful people at this site! Thanks for the generosity you have shown in bringing people, ideas, strategies, and new possiblies together Liz! I have learned a great deal from you, Ann, Easton and others at this site and this is what the blogging community looks like at its best! Thanks for your gracious offer to make another part of the community official. The group is stronger than any one of us — you have shown us that again and again!
ME Strauss said
Wow! Ellen,
Thank you! It is a community and we are stronger than each of us. We’re some brilliant, intelligent, incredibly cool kids,!

Hi Liz,
This time I held off checking in until I visited each of the blogs on your list twice. The first time for a visual glance, the second to actually read a post or two.
So, I can tell you that I actually enjoyed everyone of the blogs on your list. They passed the look/read tests with flying colors!
It was especially fun to read the story of your (was it a road trip?) day with Phil from 2 different perspectives! I’m not sure that’s ever happened before.
ME Strauss said
Hi Katie!
What fun to see everyone getting in on the SOB community page. It’s such a cool way to welcome new folks around here. :)
You liked Phil’s take on our story . . . ????? The pictures are what put it over the top for me. I wrote to tell him that between his great writing and the pix, I felt as If I’d been there. :)
katiebird said
Oh, gosh, yes! I liked Phil’s take on the story, it had everything, tension (anything more tense than a traffic jam?) drama (elevators going no where) humor (one link stand issues) and a happy ending (a new business partnership.)
The only thing missing was ME! I wish I was there :(
Just kidding about that last part — really, it was totally fun reading about it.
ME Strauss said
YEAH, Katie, I’ve been meaning to ask . . . Where were you? Did you get in the wrong elevator too?
Phil can make any story a compelling adventure.
katiebird said
For some reason I’m remembering a job interview on the 40 something floor of the TransAmerica building in San Francisco when I realized that I could never work on the 40 somthing floor of any building — especially in San Francisco.
I was really wishing that day that I’d gotten in the wrong elevator.
And part of your adventures were many stories higher than that, weren’t they more like 50 something? (shudder) Much better you than me.
Maybe next time I’m in Chicago (which would be the first time) I can meet you for lunch after?

Liz, wow. I didn’t have time to look into all of them but Plagiarism Today sure caught my eye. Very nice.
I’ll be sure to look into the rest on monday
(as you know, I’m supposed to be staying off the computer this weekend … but my two new programs just arrived so I’m cheating …)
Thank-you for all you do.
ME Strauss said
Hi Katie,
I’ve worked that high here and I suppose most of us just get used to to. . . . but I sure can understand why some of us don’t.
Of course we’ll meet for a meal when you visit. . . It would seem so silly that you’d be in town and we’d miss a great opportunity like that, especially now that YOUR A BLOND!!! :)
ME Strauss said
Cat,
I think Plagarism Today might be a resource for all of your blogs in some way. Each post is helpful information on how to handle a question that we didn’t want in the first place — so we hardly know how to ask it, let alone who to ask. . . . :P

Congrats to all the SOB’s this week! I just discovered Success from the Nest from a comment on your site the other day. I love the design and art work - great content too!
ME Strauss said
Hi Kirsten,
Success from the Nest is the one that’s fun for me to read. Gotta have one of them to keep the mix as crazy as it needs to be :)
Tony D. Clark said
I appreciate all the kind words. Success from the Nest has been something I’ve wanted to do for quite some time. Now that it’s finally up and people are reading, it’s a real joy.
Thanks for the help in getting readers, Liz. “Shouting into the abyss” can get old quick!
ME Strauss said
Hi Tony,
No need to shout . . . we’re all listening! :)
Tony D. Clark said
That’s nice to know. ;)
Shouting into the abyss = (Tap – tap – tap on the mic…) Is this thing on?
Writing without readers is like playing catch with yourself. It gets boring really fast.
ME Strauss said
Sorry, Tony, I just can’t resist.
When you play catch with yourself, are you the ball?
Jonathan Bailey said
First off, I’m sorry that I just now caught this. I’ve been away from my computer most of the weekend and just now saw this post. Thank you very much for the award! I’m going to see about posting the button when I get home.
Also, welcome to those of you who’ve found the site useful. Please, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email if there is anything that I can help you with. I’ll gladly do what I can.
Thank you again for this very humbling honor.
ME Strauss said
Jonathan,
Thank you for a blog that we all agree is one that is needed and well done. Being a publisher, I know the detail work that goes into what you’re doing and I’m grateful.
Thank you for your generous offer.
You’re an SOB for sure!
Tony D. Clark said
Good one, Liz - Almost a Zen koan quality to it. Be the ball… Be the ball…
ME Strauss said
That’s great advice, yourself, Tony.
I’m going to be the ball. Be the ball now.
