Start with a Few Words
Sometimes a few words can get a whole lot started.
- When I look at the people around me . . .
- If I could, I’d invent . . .
- It happens the same way every time . . .
- When I sit down with the news every morning, . . .
- Every relationship has an ROI. . . .
- When I was kid, I always thought that by now . . .
- Can you help me out here? Is this a new thing? . . .
- In this economy, anyone . . .
- If you want to have a meaningful conversation with . . .
- At this very moment, somewhere in the world, . . .

I have a file like that too! I go back to it when I need something to write about.

Did you know……?
If the answer is “no”, readers invariably have an unstoppable compulsion to read further about the thing they didn’t know. These readers want to learn.
If the answer is “yes,” at least half those respondents will keep reading to see if what they thought they know is right, and to see if there’s a detail they didn’t know. These readers are (for the most part, but not exclusively) looking for a bit o’ affirmation and assurance.

Gee Glenn,
And that would have been brilliant!

Whitney is looking for insecure readers.
Just kidding.

Hi Peter!
Great to see you!
I use a lot of photos and words. Often I just let them mean new things or like a little kid, I just make up what they’re supposed to mean.

Hi GP!
Fourteen years. Most of them trained by a classical dancer ballet, tap, jazz — Mrs. Wright played the piano until she retired. I started assisting in 7th grade and managed the recital program for 600 students when I was around 14 or 15.(Only had 1 every 3 yrs — don’t learn much that year was the thought.)
