Connecting by Being Connected
ME Liz Strauss wrote this at 6:24 am
about connections.
When my head, heart, and purpose are aligned, life is in working order. Words and ideas come easily. Work is a pleasure. People are a wonder and joy.
When I suffer a disconnect from my head, heart, or purpose, I lose track of that smoothness. Colors fade. Tasks get big and boring. Smiles get harder to find. I see with tired eyes. The disconnect disturbs me.
When I look for angels everywhere, they appear in all generosity. When I speak with care and confidence, people respond with the same. When I trust myself, people are trustworthy, and they trust me. When I work hard, people offer help.
I see in other people what I first see in myself.
Community begins inside me.
It’s huge thought.

Liz,
So true. It is nice when everything connects. I’ve been disconnecting lately but trying very hard to be positive until I am connecting again. Thanks for the motiviation.

Hi Steve!
Yeah, it’s a lot easier to be positive when the connections are functioning. I find that the transition from winter often finds me in this place. Fresh flowers yesterday helped a lot.

I feel full when connected. Full warm and intoxicated. And EVER so grateful. It’s definitely worth working for.

Hi Mother Earth,
Nothing is better than feeling we belong right where we are. I agree.

Connection is at the core of what I blog about, Liz. I want people to connect, engage, participate, contribute with themselves, each other and with the world around them. I love this idea that community starts with the individual. I actually just posted today about the importance of the individual and community. Another connection!

It IS a huge thought, and beautiful one. I like it reversed, too: Be connected by connecting.

Liz, you’ve captured the core of where I need to get back to for good blogging. The truth I’ve been looking to find is captured in this post.
Thank you,
Rick

I used to be kind of (very) afraid of the people online, and worried about what to say and how they would take it. Seeing you being honest and expressing your feelings — you are a role model for how I want to be.

Hi Amy!
I love blogger synchronicity. I’ve been so disconnected in my head lately. I had to bring myself together to “connect the dots” back to my soul.

Yeah, Michael!
Connecting with others, seeing them is one way I get out of thinking that the universe revolves around me. Be connected by connecting is beautiful too.

Hi Rick!
Your words mean much. It’s the reason I wrote this post. I promised myself that I’d reconnect myself before I did anything. My day today has been wonderful.

Ria,
Thank you. Trust makes a world of difference. Trusting myself made the difference today.
I’m grateful my words mean as much to you as they did to me.

They say that, KHC, but you know, a sincere whisper carries more weight with me than an insincere pat on the back.

There is more to being a whole person than implementing networking techniques effectively. Whatever one’s techniques, the real person always shows through.
Thanks for the reminder to stay connected within in order to connect well elsewhere.
ME Liz Strauss said
Yeah, I realized when facing a recent network challenge that I’d be much more interesting and attractive if I were authentic and transparent about why I was there — to learn how to become part of a new market.
Trying to be otherwise always makes me feel hollow.
Thank you for saying that so well.

Hi Liz!
I often get disheartened when people turn out to be different- respond differently to what I expect of them to fellow humans. But the essense of happiness is no to expect at all and take it as it comes. ( thanks to Wayne Dyer who wrote these wonderful words in his classic book: what do you want your children to become).
But how important is to connect with our heart, mind and soul to see angles every where!
Thanks for the reminder!

Hi Solomon!
We’ll never be able to change the fact that others view the world through different lenses. Some folks will get to a more positive lens on their own. We might celebrate that.
We are able to keep hold of our own happiness and offer it to those who have room for it. In that small way, we’re doing what we can.
