Jason Falls, the Soundbyte

A Soundbyte on Someone I Know
Years ago I was at lunch with a friend who said, “Every time I’m about to meet someone you know really well, you give me a mini-bio of who that person is. What’s mine?”
Busted! I do that.
So let me tell you about Jason Falls
The short bio goes like this: Southern charm never looked so brilliant. Human never acted so real. Jason lives his ideals and his principles. If he says he’ll be there, he’s there in spades. We met the first time at SxSW. Our first conversation became the start of a friendship that has been filled with promises that have always been kept. I have the highest respect for that kind of integrity.
More than explorer, he lives his life and works his work with the best that he is.
The word Jason hates most is “ping.” Don’t “ping” him. Talk to him, call him, connect with him. He’s the real thing.
Some recent Jason Falls brilliance:
For years now you’ve heard advice from social media evangelists that is counter-intuitive to a traditional marketing approach. Don’t sell first. Relinquish control of your brand to your customers. Take your content to the customers instead of driving all activity to your own website. Build content around your customers, not your brand.
My tagline for Jason is Live what you believe and let the world see it …
Bet you have a great experience with Jason will you share it here now?

You’re an angel and this is sooooo uncalled for. But thank you. I’m interested to see other responses (for fear I’ll be outed for something sinister, of course).
I love you dearly, Miss Liz.

Oh my gosh, yes! I have two awesome Jason stories!
I was tweeting with him on the day he started #twit2fit and got right in on the action with him - I wound up losing 40lbs that spring! I kept thanking him, but, he kept saying it wasn’t his doing - it was mine! But the community he gathered around to support one another was the just impetus and the continuing support that I needed!!
And then, just recently - I won a ticket to Social Fresh Nashville from him. Just for spreading the news about his awesome, info-packed newsletter! His newsletter is awesome - of course I share it!
Jason is definitely one cool dude and I can’t wait to meet him in person next month!!

I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Jason in person, but my interactions with him via phone, email, twitter, etc. equate to your description. Most impressive has been Jason’s ability to actively engage in conversation (via his blog, twitter, email, etc.) with an inordinate number of people. Jason is a class act.

Jason is all that you suspect he is and more.

Hi Liz:
Remember me? We met at Blogworld and chatted a bit in front of the Blue Sky Factory booth with Nikki. Would love to learn more about Subcon 2010! Please send over some details.
Crap. This comment is supposed to be about Jason Falls, right?
Disclaimer: Jason is a partner of Blue Sky Factory. We power his email newsletter.
Jason has also grown into someone who I’d call a friend. We exchanged some tweets several months ago, talked on the phone about email marketing best practice, and then finally met face to face in Boston for the Inbound Marketing Summit. After Boston, I ended up at 2 other conferences Jason was at in October. We’ll both be speaking at a few upcoming Social Fresh events.
Jason is as real as it gets. A funny, witty dude who also happens to be super sharp, helpful, and (dare I say?) kind.
The only knock I have on Jason is that he’s a WVU fan. He’s a bit bitter that we stole his football and basketball coaches. Then again, if Rich Rod doesn’t turn the Michigan program around soon, we’ll have one more thing in common.
Lisa Marie Mary - see you in Nashville!
