Liz Strauss, GeniusShared CEO

Liz Strauss

Meet Liz Strauss,

a social web strategist and one of the most thoughtful, prolific bloggers on the planet. A teacher and community builder at heart, Strauss is all about interconnectedness, bringing great people and great ideas together.

–Connie Dieken, The Top Influencers Alive: 10 Breakout Influencers of 2011

About Liz

Liz is a Principal and CEO of GeniusShared, an organization dedicated to promoting achievement in the business community through understanding of how personal development fuels, defines, and limits (or amplifies) success. Liz is the Author of  Anything You Put Your Mind To which was recently published by GeniusShared Press. She is also founder of SOBCon, the game-changing business retreat that energized business growth and owner/author of the popular Successful-Blog (successful-blog.com).

Liz Strauss is an engaging, intelligent, and profoundly relevant author, speaker, retreat producer, and business coach. She is adept at distilling complex (and seemingly disconnected) human business ideas into elegantly simple concepts and helping leaders apply those concepts to the best steps to meet their goals. Liz speaks softly and carries a lot of street cred. The Dean of the College of Education at Bradley University described Liz by saying, “In my life, I’ve met five master teachers. She is one.”

Liz has worked with C-Suite executives on four continents on planning strategy and accelerating business growth through better hiring, breaking down silos, team training, and coaching new managers. Liz builds communities of fiercely loyal employees and customers who bring their friends.

Liz defines irresistible businesses as those with great relationships who constantly

  • Remove what customers don’t want.
  • Enhance what customers love.
  • Add something unexpected customers would die for.

Irresistible defines Liz.

Past Awards and Achievements

In addition to the Top 10 Influencer Alive List offered by the Huffington Post, Liz was also named to the Forbes list of The Top 10 Women Social Media Influencers and as the highest ranking woman—7th—on the Dun & Bradstreet list of The Most Influential Small Business People on Twitter as reported in the Wall Street Journal.

Liz was also honored with the prestigious Titan of Web 2.0 award, presented at II World Forum “Communication on Top” in Davos, Switzerland.

Having a hard time finding focus?

Having a hard time finding focus?

It can be hard to find focus sometimes. A few months ago, I was talking with a colleague who was having a hard time finding focus in their work. They spoke of feeling pulled in multiple directions and of many obligations — both at work and with their family. As I listened, I could hear […]

Sometimes We Outgrow Our Stories

Sometimes We Outgrow Our Stories

The other day I was having a conversation with a friend. We were sharing stories from days gone by about each of our lives. We hopped from one story to the next — based on what each of us were sharing. It was really an incredible discussion as we were each learning from the other […]

It’s Not Your Passion, But Your Purpose

It’s Not Your Passion, But Your Purpose

Everyone feels lost sometimes. I don’t think I know anyone who hasn’t been lost in their head at one time or another — even those folks overachieving all over the Internet. We all find those moments that we wonder about who we are and what we want. But the question is not whether everyone gets […]

Getting Past Fear

Getting Past Fear

I felt the more embarrassing fear of people’s judgment. When I decided it was time to write again, I avoided the computer for the longest time.
