Beach Notes: Seeing Creatively

One of our favorite beaches to walk on, which is also a bit risky to swim at, is Froggy’s, so named because someone about twenty years ago noticed that one of the many rocks looked like a frog and painted it accordingly. The paint seems to get refreshed from time to time.

We think it shows someone’s creative imagination.

Do you see creatively? How does it change your view of the world?

I especially appreciate the simple yet creative way someone chose to share what they saw that others might not see without being shown.

To see creatively requires that we mindfully shift our “automatic” view of the world. When I saw this I was reminded how an expression or demonstration of creativity from someone else can be enough to wake our own creativity from it’s slumber.

The clouds in FL this time of year are amazing. Think I will play “what could it be” today with my daughter.
