    Yippee! Thank you. And best of all, my big man got his stitches out today and the vet said that he’s seen dogs at 6 weeks that aren’t doing as well as my guy is doing at 2 weeks. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    I’m happy for Chappy too, so there. (how’s that for pathetic, Sue? I’m an absolute sap when it comes to animals. ;D ) And 3 cheers for big man and the stitches (sounds like a 50’s group doesn’t it?).

    And many thanks to you Liz! My wife had just sent me the photos she took of those mini sunflowers earlier that day and when I read of your contest, everything simply clicked. You always come up with the right stuff (and you know I’d say that even if I wasn’t on that list).

    I was quite confused when I got an email saying I’m one of the winners (I was like “Huh? Didn’t remember I went into any contest” lol)

    I’d love to see what others have come up with and especially seeing Chappy πŸ˜€

    hey Liz,

    i just realised that a great majority (90% if i didn’t count wrongly) of the winners do not use public blog domains like livejournal and the likes. i guess it shows how we’ve ‘grown’ over the blogging years haha.

    my question is: how important is this step forward to take, if one is to start their own domain and blog from where.

    thanks!

    Philip. =D

    @Philip – I think it’s important to have your own domain, not only for branding purposes but also because if you decide to change your hosting services, you can keep the same URL. It creates continuity.

    Congrats to all the great winners!! Can’t wait to see the full slide show impact.

    @Philip: Many have long believed that the domain URL makes the blog brand. As someone who has a wordpress.com in her domain name, representing many who have very successful blogs without a “unique” domain name, it’s not true any more. Success is what you do with what you have, not just what your name is. πŸ˜€ Unless you are a Rockerfeller or Kennedy. But still… hee hee

    Again, congrats to all. These are fantastic! What creative folks, all!
