Well it’s not a class, not really. It’s a wealth of information on how measurement works.

Content: SeanRox at HaveLaptopWillTravel invited Doug Karr as a Guest writer to offer an overview of E-Metrics for blogs tailored to the laidbaid, data-minded geek with social skills. (That’s our friend Sean.) I’ve read the report. It’s an amazing resource — specifically geared to WordPress, Google Analytics, and Feedburner.
The language is well-written and easy to follow — lot’s to be learned in every word of it. Doug describes it this way.
This guide to Blogging E-Metrics Simplified is a basic overview of:
How to implement web analytics into your blog using Google Analytics.
How to implement feed analytics into your blog using FeedBurner.
How to measure your blog’s impact using Google Analytics.
How to improve your blog’s impact.

Thanks, SeanRox. Thanks, Doug. Good Stuff!

Thanks for the mention Liz.
After only 3 days, Doug and I have made some revisions to the guide and it now has a dedicated page on my site for all future updates and downloads:

Sean,
Do you need me to change the linkage in the post? I can do that. . . .
Doug Karr said
Thanks, all! It was fun to write. There’s a lot of room for expansion and we’ll continue fine-tuning it. We’ve instituted ‘version control’ on it so you can compare your version with the present one posted.
Regards,
Doug

Hi Doug!
Great job! Really!
It’s a valuable resource. Thanks.

Hi Liz, no need to update the link because the original post has a direct link to the project page where the download is located.

Thanks, Sean,
I didn’t want to be sending folks to the wrong place.
seanrox said
No problem Liz. I don’t like sending people to the wrong place either, so I’m very careful how I set up links, especially to things for download

For a laid-back geek with social skills, SeanRox, you seem to have a flair for being careful about a lot of things. That’s a great quality.

I’m finding out blogging is a small world. I ran into Doug on another blog with led me to his blog. He then helped me with kicking up my new theme.
Blogging is a small world when you think how big the internet is.
ME Strauss said
Hi Roy!
Yes, that’s kind of neat about how the whole blogging thing is just like ripples in a pool. We keep looping around bumping into each other.

Just because I’m a laid-back geek with social skills doesn’t mean that I’m not capable of having flair… hehe… I have 39 peaces of flair (Office Space reference).
Also, being the next James Bond… uh, Rox, SeanRox… I’ve been trained in many qualities and I’m even house broken too
In all seriousness, thank you for your kind words Liz.

I only speak the truth, Rox, SeanRox . . .

Hi Roy, Doug is a great guy. He and I work really well together.
You’re also correct in saying that the internet makes the world a really small place.
I’ve met some really interesting people over the years while being on the net… first with BBS’s, then dial up, then high speed…
I’ve also met a lot of my internet friends in person which is nice… I like being able to put a face with a site or even a voice. Skype is really good for this… allowing you to talk with your online friends voice and for free of charge.
Wow, that sounded like a shameless plug… hehe… Skype… just do it… doh!… hehe

SeanRox,
I think you have to work for Skype for it to be a shameless plug.
