It Was Summer Again and Links Were Leaking

It Was Summer Again
Summer breeze made us feel fine, rolling through Open Comment Nights. The fish were jumping and the cotton was high. . . .
Starbucker, we knew we’d see you in September — but once again the evil/good link leak virus had Successful-blog leakng. The Link Leak Virus is a special strain of the indie virus with blogtipping mutations that occur in threes. But we were in a summertime frame of mind.
Welcome to all of the new folks who came. It was great fun having you!
Cool links were shared.

Thank’s Techz and Ram for your International visits too. You’ll get your turn when we do the Open Mic Weekend Marathon . . .

Wouldn’t it be fun to find out?
I’d just have to think of a super topic!

Hey Rick,
I think that next week. It should be your turn.
Marti said
Y’all are welcome - it was fun writing it!
ME Strauss said
Wanna have fun again next week? *she said in her most innocent wide eyed voice*
Rick Cockrum said
Would I get to lurk in the bushes instead of Joe?
ME Strauss said
Sure, Rick, you could even pick where you lurk, and you wouldn’t have to cook.

The subtle art of bribery.
ME Strauss said
Ah, the question is most interesting when each is involved in bribery . . . Who is bribing the other? Perhaps we need a dectective.

Now I feel like a politician. (imagine picture of winking smilie here. Someday I have to learn how to do them.)
ME Strauss said
A great blogger could never be a politician anyway. So why worry on it for even a second.
Rick Cockrum said
Not worried. Just the image. Oh the pain.! The pain!
Good night, Liz.
ME Strauss said
Yeah, Maybe you should sleep on this one, or do I mean sleep it off?
Sleep well, Rick. See you tomorrow.
Ram said

Hey Ram,
It will be fun if we can make it happen! maybe we could do it for a charity of some sort and get folks to sponsor us for comments.
ME Strauss said
Hi Tony!
It must be those dashing good looking, and that winning personality that won Marti over . . . now you should write a post getting your readers to buy a copy of her book. It’s very funny you know!

Are you sure Liz? Both are masters of mass communication and the art of attracting attention.
I know of at least one blogger here in Georgia who very seriously contemplated a run for congress. He desperately wants to see Cynthia McKinney unseated, actually lives in her district, and was going to use his blogging background as a launch pad for his campaign. He was talked out of it by local political forces.
I think it is only a matter of time before someone out there makes the transition from successful blogger to politician.
ME Strauss said
You’ve got a point there, Chris. I was just stuck on that word, authenticity
TechZ said
Thanks for the mention! I’ve been going to Instigator ’s Blog since I found it recently and even the code-writing donkey
I use this site for .hta password creation. See you guys in the Marathon
ME Strauss said
You’re such a generous blogger, Techz. It’s easy to remember to thank you.
Tom Bailey said
ah, the link love. different, but link love nonetheless.
Thanks, Marti, Liz.
ME Strauss said
Tom,
Are you beginning to get the feeling that everything here is just a little twisted?
TechZ said
Link love, the phrases that emerge from blogging are just too funny sometimes
And tonight, I brought pizza for all, seeing as Liz is such a gracious host all the time!
ME Strauss said
Pizza, how lovely! I literally grew up eating pizza. It’s a comfort food for me. Thanks Techz!

Yes Liz, you WILL see me in September! I missed y’all on Tuesday and I look forward to catching up the next time (or two, or three). Any advance word on the next topic? How about: “Describe the last time you laughed so hard you cried - what did it for you”. I’d so love to hear those answers! All the best.
ME Strauss said
Starbucker,
Hey it’s great to see you . . . in September!
I’m not sure that you have the concept of what will worth for a four hour chat, though. We need something that lends itself to more . . . ah er . . . dancing !
