YES, the mike will be open again tonight. So start collecting your thoughts. Remember, you get to bring what you want to talk about.

The rules are simple — be nice.

We met lots of new friends last week as we always do. If you missed it, stop by this week, and it’s your turn to come.

Tonight we talk about music.

We might also talk about

  • songs that stick in your head.
  • songs that you remember from childhood
  • lyrics that changed your life.
  • songs that you . . .

    Sorry Joe,
    I had to use a computer that wasn’t mine at a hotel on a wireless connection that wasn’t working. My life was basically a disaster! I wanted you guys to know things were still going to happen!

    You won’t believe it Liz. What a treat - tonight was an infrequent early dinner and I’m available to come to the party. So I “arrived” at 7:20 my time thinking it was amazing that you guys were only 20 minutes ahead of me.
    Then I find out that Shazam, I’m early. I think to myself, great - I can nose around some and read other stuff I never get to while waiting for the storms rolling in past Dulles to knock Adelphia for a loop and me offline.
    While I’m nosing, I come across an open mic string that I think says “Portugal” . . . and I assume that I misunderstood the time - so I join the “conversation” . . . only to see that it’s NOT this week’s conversation. :^)
    Duh. And I haven’t even had one of your killer drinks yet. I’ll be back later so I can embarrass myself in front of a crowd instead of an empty room!

    Hey welcome, Susan!
    Glad to see backstage before the party started. Lots of times folks come early. Helps them get over the first time jitters. We’ll open up the mic soon. Meanwhile there’s snacks and beverages in the sidebar.

    I wrote the True Story of Basil the Code-Writing Donkey
    There are other versions floating around, but mine is the only True Version. I know because I wrote it. ;-)
