Great Discussion

If you weren’t able to join us back stage after Brian Shih’s article on sidebars, you might check out the comments section that follows it. We had a great discussion on sidebar design with several people bringing in examples of a variety of design options to use while making a point about what works or doesn’t work.

It was hands-down the best example of community discussion in action I’ve ever seen. Way cool! We’ve got something really special happening here.

Thanks to everyone who participated. It really was fun as well as enlightening.

Can we do that again soon. Huh? Can we? Can we? :)

    Liz – I’m not sure if this is the proper place or the proper procedure (if not, you control the Delete key), but I just posted this on my site and wanted you and your readers here at Successful Blog see it as well. I’m sure those of us who read you regularly will agree…

    Hey, you stole my thunder :-) I also have a post getting polished up for next week that basically raves about Successful Blog, Liz and the community spirit she has developed.

    Notice to Liz: I have a couple of questions I’m going to fire your way in the next few days just to spice up the post … time for a little old-fashioned journalism – I guess I shouldn’t be throwing away all my (old) jouranlism schooling :-)

    You’re so right, Liz. I’m neither “S” nor “O” and at this stage of the game, “B” is questionable. I’m sure, however, if I hang around here long enough some of it is bound to rub off on me.

    I’m thinking you’ve got the O down, with how well you wrote and presented your comment and such actions could only lead to the S and if you’re not a B, why would you care about little old me? :)

    But I’d be honored if you hang around here. Take a bit of here home to your B and you’ll be an SOB before you can say ABC, yessiree.
