Bloggy Book Title Discussion 7

ME Liz Strauss wrote this at 8:11 pm

For those who come looking for a short, thoughtful read, a blogging life discussion, or a way to gradually ease back into the week, tonight I offer a Blogging Question.

This one’s for fun.

Here you go. . . .

Old MS Book

Last week I was emailing with Anthony Dever and I told him that I had been struck with a great title for a blogging book.

American Edition:
If You Think MY Blog Is a Personal Diary, I think your swimsuit came from Gym Class.

World Edition:
If You Think MY Blog Is a Personal Diary, I think your wine comes in a box.

What would your blogging book title be?

–ME “Liz” Strauss

Funny you should mention that because I was actually talking to a Anthony last night and he told me that his blogging book about not blogging was going to be titled Is anyone actually going to read this?.

Though he still likes your world edition title best.

    Anthony,
When you talk to Anthony again, do tell him I said you both should read his book. :)

I’ll help him think of a new title for his book.

Just found out I was picked as one of the posts for this weeks Carnival of Marketing….so now that I’m ‘The Man’, I’m gonna name my book…..

” What Would Mike Do ? ” or ” The Man Who Knew Just Enough ”

You should submit some of biz.erati’s posts for next week….your posts are WAY better than mine.

Martin hosts in 3 weeks and I host in 5. You should host a week and submit every week as biz.erati is some of the finest material I’ve read in a long, long time.

Also, I’ll be in Greensboro, NC for the next 4-5 days and I won’t have a laptop or any time, so hold down the fort whilst I’m away.

    Hey Mike,
You was and always will be da Man.
If you’re in North Carolina you should bring a Jack Reacher Book.
    You know I’ll miss ya.

I have no idea who or what I would submit to and now that Martin is one-a-weeking he doesn’t show up at the bar anynore. But hey thanks for the PR and the compliments. :)

Look for this weeks stopover at:

    http://okdork.com/grand-opening-carnival-of-marketing/

    Then submit a couple of posts. I like Principle’s #6 and #7 a lot.

All they can say is no.

When it’s my turn to host, you better submit or I’ll cry…well, not cry, but I will bitch rather loudly !

    Hey Mike,
I’ll check it out. I have to see you in all of your glory. Then I’ll follow your lead. Though I must say I think that the crying is scarier than the bitching.

As long as you go and let others read the fine material that you’ve shared with those of us who visit biz.erati, all the cryin’ and bitchin’ was worth it.

See you’uns when I get back from The ‘Boro.

How about an anthology of blogs that never made it past their first post. You could call it “An Anthology of Blog that Never Made it Past Their First Post”

    But I like Taorist’s 2) best.

Sorry Liz but I’m not going to read Anthony’s book as he is a very much an overrated individual. Also, there’s nothing he can teach me that I don’t already know ;)

    Lol.

Off the top of my head I can only think of tag lines, but two of them are:
    1) How blogging ruined my life
    and
    2) Lack of readers never stopped me when I had a blog, so why should it stop me now I have a book?

Sorry, as you can see I’m in a bit of a bitter, twisted, and cynical mood this morning. I’ll try and make sure up-beat, happy Cas returns later on and comments as well :)

    Hi all of you!
At first I thought I went to bed too early. But now I’m laughing so heartily. I’m glad to wake up to so much fun!

    Great going taorist, you overachiever.

Indie, I agree taorist number 2 is definitely a finalist. I think you’re is almost a genre of it’s own and could stand translation into many languages–might even make the gift book list.

Anthony, the more I know you, the more I love your sense of humor. Do tell the other Anthony to quit being so serious all of the time. Would you?

Cas, your tag lines add a great dimension. We can start assembly line book titles for LuLu.com. They hand me the manuscript. I hand it down to toarist and Indie who put on the titles. Then you add the taglines to them and Anthony to the second power critiques all in one.

I think we have a new online business model.

No wonder they call this puppy Successful-Blog.com!!

MORE TITLES WE NEED MORE TITLES

Okay I’ll start another round–BLog as rewritten works of Literature

    Hey Liz,

I’m not done with just yet here at SOB :-) even though I’m a once-a-week man – actually I changed all that – now I’m a twice-a-week man (Tuesdays and Fridays) – I tried the once a week for … one week and couldn’t do it – I just gotta have my opinion fix :-)

Reason why I’m a little slack in joining you at the bar: I’m just a busy little Aussie getting ready to launch my newest and greatest blog (hint: it’s ePublishingDaily.com but keep it a secret, there’s not muich to look at yet).

Yup, I’m hosting Week # 13 of the Carnival of Marketing (5 Feb) so if I don’t get any submissions from you, Miz Liz, then I’ll be crying in my nanchos and beer :-)

My blogging book title: “How I spent 2005 blogging till I went bug-eyed, made $31.59 in AdSense … and Loved every minute of it!”

Movie/Lit title themes (you asked for it):
    - Scent of a Blogger
    - Blogfella
    - Blogzilla
    - My Best Friends Blog
    - For Whom the Blog Tolls
    - The Lord of the Blogs
    - Citizen Blog
    - It’s a Wonderful Blog
    - The Maltese Blogger
    - Blogging in the rain

… and I could go on and on :-)

A publishing blog–huh? Well I hope that means that you’re reading biz.erati. Mr. C where you hold a place of honor. It holds many bits of pub book publishing wisdom you might steal . . .er borrow for your new endeavor should you need them. :)

I love your additions to our bloggy list. I think my favorite is
Blogging in the Rain. I keep seeing Gene Kelly typing while he dances.

Liz, I’m glad you like my sense of humor. Just ignore the other Anthony, he’s lost touch with reality. I just try to make myself laugh if other people get it, tops.

It is film season in la la land for the next month so I think they should be film inspired book titles.

I’ll name mine after my #1 fave all time film:

Blog Academy 6 – WordPress Under Siege

    Liz,

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated (Hemingway).

borrow/steal – yep, now you know where I’ll be spending a few hours tomorrow – biz.erati here I come :-)

Me like very much my place in your Biz Connections and the way you know a little about me – when I saw it the other day (sad but true) it gave me a real buzz – made an ageing motley crue fan very happy … seriously!

Anthony, Great title–WordPress Under Seige. Haha–Don’t you mean TypePad?

    Martin,
I thought it was Twain who unreported his death.
That’s very cool that you like your aka. It’s good SEO you know to use a variety of descriptive link terms. I figured I would try a few that might make Google take a closer look. I got quick response from your King Brother who wanted to know who the heck was Jack Reacher–a book character that I had named him after.

I’m still working on Anthony Dever’s aka and he wants me to wait to link to his next blog. Sybil is close, but not quit on–that’s not it is it Anthony?

Liz or you could call me Meg Ryan

Twain – yep, you are right. But then seeing that I am (well, was) a Hemingway aficiondo – man, in my early 20′s I was infatuated – but I passed that phased – hopefully :-)

good seo – not sure who’s gonna search for me under my aka, but it’s good for a ego search at times. Keep my aka there for ever and I’m hanging at your bar for eternity :-)

And now I’m off to la la land – see you tommorrow.

No. TypePad Under Seige would be a horror novel.
