Can 25 Words Change the World?
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 25 Words of Work / Life Wisdom Writing Project. Every selection was an example of the power of writing. When sat down to bring them all together, I wanted to make this one something special.
Thank you for your wisdom!
You shared thoughts about time, love, vacation, death, marriage, waiting, confidence, gathering, parenting, pain, contributing, adversity, beauty, customers, success, financial freedom, joy, open minds, blogging, fear, freedom, accomplishment, action, connection, balance, the past, the future, laughing, relationships, wishes, leadership, Twitter, writing, and changing the world.
Here’s what you wrote.

Thanks to everyone who participated by writing or reading!

Work with Liz!!
I often feel restricted by twitter’s 140 letter count, but I like the challenge of considering every letter or word.
25 words can say surprisingly much.
Hey, how enlightening was that? Let’s do it again, Liz! Next time, they need to rhyme?
Ha, I love Claire Raikes‘s 25 words. So true.
Hi Robert!
I think we’ve just ensured that it HAS to happen again. It’s an ongoing wealth of wisdom gathering. 🙂
No rhymes. Only one rule — 25 words. Oh yeah, and be nice. 🙂
Hi Stephen!
Yeah . . . the image Claire offers is wonderful, isn’t it?
I knew this was a cool project but I didn’t think it would be this interesting, now that the slideshow is up.
If you read through these slides several times, there’s definitely a sense of a unifying theme and yet it’s still diverse.
It’s amazing how much freedom flows out of discipline.
Thanks for doing this, Liz! I hope it catches on.
Liz, this is a wonderful compilation – I really enjoyed the way you’ve captured each one so lovingly. I didn’t have time to take part in this one, but I loved taking part by reading them all.
Joanna
Beautiful. Will have to make time to participate in your next project. Well done by all!
Hi Phil!
It was a pleasure to interact with everyone’s words so intimately. I feel as if I’ve gotten to know many of you in a new way. The investment was so worth the return. 🙂
You can bet we’ll do it again! 🙂
Hi Joanna,
I kept thinking of you and all of what you’re doing . . . Did you hear my wishes for you coming your way?
Thank you for your encouragement!
I enjoyed the process and reading what everyone wrote. What a fun way to connect with words. Thanks, Liz.
Wow! An amazing compilation. There’s definitely some great wisdom in such few words! Thanks for an amazing project.
Wait, was this comment just 25 words?
Hi Mimi!
You will be welcome when you do!
Hi Eric!
Thanks, I’m glad the new version includes you and Jenny. I don’t know how I missed you. You’re a master at 25 words!
Hey Sage!
It was the best experience. I’m glad I put this together. I learned so much by doing it!
Awesome!!
Hi Mousewords!
thank you!
Liz,
It’s amazing that you took the time to compile all of these together into a slide! I didn’t contribute to the challenge but I enjoyed what everyone else had to say. Just goes to show you the power of words and passion that’s in all of us.
Thanks for putting all of these together in one slide!
Thanks Ricardo,
I’ll admit that had I known going in how long I’d invest, I might have faltered. But now I’m so much smarter and feel like I know everyone more. 🙂
oooh liz how lovely this turned out!! The effort showed, it’s a very caring piece
Liz,
Thanks for the challenge and all your time and effort compiling the results. Thank you, also, for including my entry though I was late. This is an amazing collection of wit and wisdom.
Great idea Liz and it’s always a pleasure to be apart of something that challenges everyone to be creative and profound.
Great project and I really enjoyed your combined presentation. Wonderfully thoughtful Liz.
Cheers to all of the contributors. Awesome collection.
Hey Liz, great piece!
I couldn’t get to the bit that allows me to embed it. Any tips? (I logged into Picassa, but then couldn’t find the embed code.)
Thanks!
Hi Liz, I just found out about your challenge at Joanna’s Confident Writing web site since she highlighted your idea and the results. It’s looks fascinating. I’m glad it’s still open since I’d like to give it a try. 🙂
HI Elaine!
The picasa embed code is here:

The SlideShare is on the presentation above where it says “embed.”
Hope these work for you. 🙂
Hey Todd!
Thanks! Thanks, too, for being part. 🙂
Hi Robyn!
Great to hear you’re giving it a try!!
What an inspiring challenge! I’ve adapated it over on my blog to be specific for writers!! Thanks for the great idea!
