People keep asking me What does a blog network offer a blogger?

I suppose that I should expect to get this question more than most people might. I always have trouble explaining my answer, because my answer is unique to who I am.

Today it hit me. The question isn’t right. The question should be:

What does a being part of a blog network offer READERS?

What community service might the NEW and IMPROVED Successful Blog offer you? Should the focus be more on the SUCCESSFUL and less on the BLOG? Or is that right as it is?

We can take this blog in a world of directions as long as we stick to three words–success, community, and readers.

You’ve passed me some fabulous ideas earlier that I’m working on, and I’ve come up with a few of my own. But I want to unroll this new version really right.

We have a chance to make something unique here–something outstanding that makes your life easier–a community blog that actually does something for you.

What a concept! What might that something be?

A brand new blogger comes to you for advice. He’s convinced he’s going to be the next six-figure problogger.

He asks:

I put Adsense and Chitika on my blog. I’m posting quality, original content daily with a vengeance. I know it takes a few months for the money to start rolling in. How long before I can quit my job?

Blogging Life Question 4: Blog Names

For those who come looking for a short, thoughtful read, a blogging life discussion, or a way to gradually ease back into the week, I offer this Blogging Hypothetical Question.

Here you go. . . .

A friend is rethinking his brand-new blog, now that he knows a little bit about them.
He comes to you with two questions:

1. Is it a good thing or a bad thing to have “blog” in my name–such as Blogopedia? You’ve been around longer. Does that make it easier, harder, or just the same for the reader?

2. Suppose I choose a domain name now and want change my blog name later. I know people do it. I’ve seen it often enough. Does it cause any problems that you know about?
Is it okay if my domain name www.joescarideas.com doesn’t match with the new blog name Joe’s Rocket Lounge?

As a blog reader, not an SEO person, do these things make any difference to you?

A friend in your blogging niche has 700-800 visitors a day. (Don’t we all wish?) But she gets no comments.
She asks:
Is this a bad thing? Is it my writing? What should I do? Should I do anything?
