Dear Jim, Stephanie, and the Entire Sofitel OHare Chicago,

May 16, 2007 by Liz Leave a Comment

Dear Jim,Stephanie and the entire staff at the Sofitel OHare Chicago,
We’re just five regular people who wanted to have a small convention at your luxury hotel. It was for a bunch of spectacular individuals who do amazing things as part of their daily workload.

Chicago OHare Sofitel

You know the type. I know. I’ve watched you in action, and as one of my friends and colleagues from Montreal would say, “Wow!”

It was minutes within the arrival of the first guest that I heard the compliments to the hotel’s service. I’m still hearing them days since I’ve left. Every small problem was made even smaller. Every person was a delight to work with. What a pleasure you made our visit for the people who came to have what many are calling “the experience of their life.”

The food, the service, the attention, the facillities were elegant and of the highest quality in every respect. It was nice to have a truly quiet room to return to.

Thank you, sincerely.

Echoing your thanks to the Sofitel staff …. so glad you sent this letter to them, Liz. Every person who interacted with me there was friendly and enthusiastic, as if they just might enjoy working there.

You know what i liked the most about Sofitel (appart the excellent service, and friendliness)? It’s that their internet access actually worked! As opposed to the wireless connection at the Crowne Plaza Hotel! hehe next year i’ll make sure i book earlier!

    Wow! 😉

Another echo: Sofitel was superb. Some of the friendliest, most helpful hotel staff I’ve run into in ages, lovely clean rooms, great food. I’d go back there in a heartbeat. Thanks Sofitel!

    Liz,

    Right on…the hotel staff rocked!

Their smiles bowled me over several times coupled with kindness to restore our humanity in seconds.

Nice job honoring them. “Let’s do that again!”

    🙂

It was a very nice breath of fresh air in the world of cutting costs and improving efficiency in the best interest of the bottom line.

As soon as I stepped onto the shuttle from the airport, I knew this was going to be a nice stay. When I walked in the front doors, I was welcomed at the desk with a sense that they were expecting me at that very moment and sent me up to my room in a matter of 90 seconds or so.

I had nothing but smiles and kindness from every employee in the building from the wait staff in the banquet halls, the bar, the front desk, and even the house-keeping staff in the hallway.

Well done, Sofitel. I’m coming back.

I know Gorgeous and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the folks we worked with at the Sofitel. In additon to Jim and Stephanie, working iwth Volkmar, Mike, and Salvadore all made our jobs far easier. They were accommodating and helpful, eager to please, and just plain nice to be around.

Great folks in a great hotel. It isn’t often that I see a team that works so well together with such great personalities across the board. Thanks guys!
