Is It Time Your Business Had an App?

October 31, 2019 by Thomas

Have you been tossing around the idea of an adding an app to your business? If you said yes, you are by no means alone.

That said it is important that you take some time and do research on how to get the right app for your brand. Getting it wrong can lead to wasted time and lost money.

So, if you’re thinking now is the time for a business app, where best to turn?

Where Will You Get Started?

In looking at how to launch an app, you want to find an app provider that has solid experience. You also want one to provide you with great service.

With that in mind, do some online research to see what app providers are out there in the market. You do not need nor should you necessarily go with the first provider you come across. Yes, they may end up being the best one for your brand’s needs. That said comparing several app providers side-by-side tends to be in your interests.

One thing to look at is how long the app provider has been in business.

Although there are some great new app providers out there, experience is never a bad thing to fall back on.

Second, what are you looking to do with your app?

Keep in mind you need to have a sound strategy to get traction with your app. Simply having an app because immediate competitors have one is not going to do you much good.

Speaking of competitors, do you know what their apps look like? If not, now would be a good time before you land your own to take a look. By seeing what you are up against, you can better determine what it is you expect to get out of your app.

Third, your app is going to have to stand out from those you are competing with.

Your app should be easy to maneuver.

This means you have landing pages that drives results.

Make sure those pages are of interest to your viewers who’ve taken the time to download your app on their phones. With a call to action, you want to go from one with an interest to one completing a sale and providing you with revenue. The goal at the end of the day of course is converting visitors into customers.

It should also offer relevant marketing copy. Links to your social media platforms is always good too. Last, have relevant and easy to find company contact info on your app. One thing many consumers hate is to have to go on a safari. That is to try and find contact details for a business they are interested in.

Where Will You Finish?

Once you have your business app up and running, it is crucial that you do all you can to market it.

Along with your website helping to spread the word, be sure social media platforms you are on does too.

It is also wise to get satisfied customers to put in a good word for you too.

As you build up a larger customer base, these customers can help market your app to their family and friends.

If the time has come for your business to move forward with an app, what are you waiting on?

How Safe Are Your Employees On the Job?

October 17, 2019 by Thomas

No matter how many employees you have, one responsibility in you have is making sure they’re safe.

With that thought in mind, how safe are your workers when on the job?

Although you can’t watch them when not on the clock nor should you, you do want to know how they are doing when working.

From the office to driving to meet with clients, attend conferences and more, do all you can to ensure safety.

Employee Safety Should Be One of Your Priorities

In looking at how safe your workers are when on the job, focus on these key areas:

  1. In the office – Whether you have an office or work out of a warehouse, how safe are your employees when doing work for you? You can and should set various safety protocols in place. Doing this increases the chances your workers will go home safe at the end of their shifts. For example, review your work environment to see how safe it is. Do you have any items that could injure employees? Are there any issues when it comes to potential slips-and-falls in your office? How safe is your parking area for when employees are coming and going? By reviewing these things on a regular basis, you lessen the odds of accidents taking place.
  2. Out on the roads – When one has employees driving for the company, it is important the former are as safe as can be. Unfortunately, safety is an issue out on the roads for some employees. As a result, you need to be sure your workers know how important safety on the roads is for both you and them. That said are you giving them the safest employee vehicles to drive around in? When considering buying vehicles for your fleet, be educated on the automobile market. Shop for not only economical autos, but also ones that come with high safety ratings. In the event your folks use their own vehicles for work-related purposes, check to see what they drive. Remember, if the time is now to go car shopping for you or them, safety should have a major emphasis.
  3. Online activities – Safety does not only come in the form of one’s physical well-being. That said make sure your workers are as safe as possible when doing work for you online. As an example, your employees should never give out sensitive info when on the Internet. Doing so can lead to hacking. If your company is hacked online, it can mean financial issues and more for you and your customers. If you have contract employees working for you from their homes, the same is true. If they have access to your online efforts, it needs protection. At the end of the day, online security should always be a focus for you and your team.

In keeping  your team safe, remember, their safety translates to your ability to be in business.

So, could your company safety see improvement?

If the answer is yes, get working on it today.

Are You Doing Enough for Your Business?

August 16, 2019 by Thomas

In running a business, you have a myriad of responsibilities on your plate. As such, you can’t afford to drop the ball on many of them. When you do, it can have a negative impact on your brand.

So, is it time you did more for your business?

Even when working as hard as you are, it may not be enough.

What Kinds of Promotions Are You Engaged in?

One of the big keys to being a successful owner is making sure your brand gets the proper promotions.

With this in mind, do you feel as if you are doing everything possible for your business?

Promotions come in many different forms.

For instance, do you use social media on a regular business? That is to get the word out about what you have to offer consumers?

Unfortunately, some business owners are out of touch when it comes to social media.

They for one reason or another fail to utilize it and all it has to offer. As such, their competitors take advantage of them.

If you are not using social media or use it infrequently, now would be a good time to change this.

Among the sites it would be wise to be active on include:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • Twitter
  • LinkedIn
  • You Tube

By being active on social networking, you increase odds of engagement with consumers.

Another great way to promote your business is through podcasts.

Okay, you say you are not all that familiar with podcasts?

Note that podcast studios for rent are something that would be worth your time checking into.

In doing occasional podcasts, you can get your company’s message out there to consumers.

One of the other advantages of doing podcasts is that you can be seen as an expert in your specific line of work. This can go a long way in influencing a consumer to which products and services they will end up buying.

If you do decide to some podcasts, make sure you do not rush them. Take the time to come up with relevant and informative topics. Doing so is worth the time and effort they take.

Last; use social networking to spread the word about your podcasts.

As podcasting is gaining traction, you should be a part of it.

Don’t Forget About Customer Service

Even when doing many or all the needed promotions, you can’t be lax when it comes to customer service.

With this in mind, are you doing everything to give your customers the best experiences?

Too many business owners get so wrapped up in other things that they lose sight of customer service. When this happens, it can mean lost business over time.

Take some time to reflect on your customer service efforts.

Among the areas you should be covering:

  • Being there for your customer whenever necessary
  • Making sure they leave each business transaction happy.
  • Showing them you care by rewarding them for their business

When you make customer service a top priority, you and your customers win.

If the time has come for you to do more for your business, what are you waiting for?

This is especially the case if you are in an industry where you face a lot of competition on a daily basis.

So, does your brand market success or do you need to focus more on your marketing efforts?

What Marketing Initiatives Are You Using?

In looking at your brand’s marketing efforts, are you focused where you should be?

To start, are you doing the bulk of your marketing in-house or out-sourcing what you need done? If the latter, you want to be sure you are working with a top-notch agency.

Many marketing agencies have websites. As such, it is not all that difficult to find them online.

With a Google search or if you already have an agency’s website URL, get online and begin the hunt. Before long you may have the agency you need to partner with for more brand success.

In looking at which agency to work with, consider the following:

  • How long has the agency been around? While there are some great young agencies out there, one with experience may be your best bet. Either way, find the agency that will get to know you and your brand and help you succeed.
  • What does the agency have to offer? – Different marketing agencies will have a myriad of offers available. That said find the one best suited to your brand’s marketing needs.
  • Will the customer service be first-rate? – Last, you need a marketing agency that provides you with first-rate customer service. Anything short of this will not cut it. That said get some feelers on how agencies you consider working with treat customers.

What is Your Competition up to?

While you do not want to become fixated on what your competitors are doing, do not go to sleep on them either.

With this thought in mind, do you know what they do, especially as it concerns their online efforts?

In checking out their efforts, you should get a better understanding of what works and what does not. As a result, it can help you become more in tune with what marketing steps you may well need to take.

Finally, look for ways to push the envelope when it comes to your online marketing efforts.

From contests to podcasts and more, make your brand stand out from others. This is why seeing what the competition is up to and finding ways to one up them is key.

When you stop to look at what you are doing, is your brand marketing making its case?

In the event the answer is no, you need to get working on a successful brand marketing operation.

Does Your Business Need a Boost?

February 27, 2019 by Thomas

No matter how many years you have devoted to your business, are you sensing that your company needs a boost?

If this is the case, what steps do you plan on taking to give your business the boost it needs to keep pushing forward?

From a financial boost to more brand recognition, there are times where you have to act.

That said is now the time to give your business a boost?

Don’t Delay and Live to Regret It

If your business in fact needs a shot in the arm these days, here are some ways to go about it:

  1. Financial boost – It may be where your business needs financial punch to make things go where they need to. If this is the case for you; how best to go about this? You could seek a small business loan in hopes of infusing some punch into your company. If you opt to go this route, be sure to do your research on the different loan providers out there. Make sure you know who you are dealing with. Research each loan provider you consider working with. Doing this allows you to separate the good ones from the not so good ones. Along with experience, you want a provider with a track record of success in helping folks. It is also important that you get the best customer service possible from any provider you go with. At the end of the day, a financial shot in the arm could make quite a difference.
  2. Website boost – How much time do you spend concentrating on your company’s website? If the answer is not much at all, this can prove rather detrimental to your brand. That said it may well be time to go out and get help for your website. One of the ways to go about this is by finding a good SEO company. With the right search engine optimization provider, you can get your website going. As you deploy better SEO options to your marketing, you should see an uptick in traffic over time. One of the ways this is done is by an SEO provider giving you good marketing content with which to work with. As more consumers see blog posts with keyword links back to your website, you stand to gain traffic. The key here is make sure you give consumers a website worth looking at.
  3. Morale boost – Last, if you have employees with you, you may find that a morale boost is in order for your business. Over time, the morale of a workplace can dwindle. When it does, it is important for leadership to change course so that things in all hopes pick up. If you do not get your workplace morale going in the right direction, it can have a myriad of consequences. Do your best to get your employees fired up once again about what they do and the customers they serve. From a more fun environment to incentives to grow in their jobs, make sure your workers know you care.

In getting more consumers focused on your brand, it may well be time you gave your business a boost.

3 Keys in a Better Small Business Outlook for You

January 30, 2019 by Thomas

As you review things at your small business, does most of it make you smile?

For some small business owners, there are things in play that in fact make them cringe.

If your small business is in need of some changes, will you make them in time before it is too late?

Money May Be Your Number One Focus

In looking at how you can have a better outlook for your small business, focus in on these three areas:

  1. Money – How are you doing these days when it comes to your business finances? If things are tight, you may well need to look into a line of credit. When you apply for a line of credit, be sure you have all your business financial info in place. If you do not have all the necessary info available, it can slow down the application process. It could even prevent you from getting a line of credit in the first place. Even with approval, reassess your financial approach to running your business. Are you doing all you can to keep debt down? Have you done a good job up to now of finding good deals? Such deals include when you buy supplies from vendors. Are you getting a good deal on the property you rent for your business if you do not own your grounds where you work out of? By being a good manager of money, your small business has a much better chance of sticking around for the long haul.
  2. Staff – Unless you are able to run your small business on your own, you will need help. Hiring the right employees goes a long way in determining the success or failure of your company. With that in mind, have you done a good job up to now of bringing in the right talent? While you might have the wrong hire now and then, do not make a habit out of this. Not only does it give customers pause to do business with you, but it can impact worker morale in your company. Over time, a revolving door at your company is going to come back to haunt you. That said make a strong effort to get the right people in the first time around.
  3. Promotions – Last, how good of a job are you doing as it relates to promoting your brand? Keep in mind that brand promotions go a long way in determining how much business you will end up doing. If not taking time or spending money when necessary to promote your brand, you could end up missing out on sales. Also take note that not all brand promotions are going to cost you dollars. For instance, you can use social media to spread the word about your brand. If you have been slow to gravitate to social networking, change this up. Social media is one of the best resources out there that your business should be taking advantage of.

In watching out for your business, how do things look?
